I traveled quite a bit as a child. So much so that I felt like I was almost a Washington, D.C. local and an Arkansas boy. Several years ago I arrived for the first time on the Western Slope of Colorado, and there I found a place that my heart truly felt at home and at peace. I don't get to visit as often as I would like, but there isn't much like that area of the Country. This painting was produced from a trip to Telluride, Colorado, the place I now consider my Western base of painting operations I suppose. It features the truly resplendent and awe-inspiring Mt. Wilson. Notice the wonderful thick texture of this painting. As a 30x40 inch piece, this is a statement artwork and a major conversation starter for any room. It comes with the beautiful yet classy brown frame shown.
