Saying Goodbye To Summer Greens, and Hello To Holiday Vibes
One of my favorite times of the year is almost upon us, the month of October to December. Here in south Arkansas the weather is just now starting to shift, providing us with slightly cooler temperatures compared to the blistering heat and humidity of July, August, and September.
As a painter this season is also the time in which I say farewell to the beautiful greens that have graced my canvases and panels for the last six months. I still have a few photos from some past excursions this spring and summer that I can pull out to produce a splendid saturated piece, but overall, the reference material I'm about to begin taking in will be reds and yellows, browns and grays. Not going to lie. I'm pretty excited about that season change coming soon.
My wife, along with my Mom, earlier today put out all of our fall decorations in the Studio. It's a nice sign to see the holiday season on its way.
Along with the changes of the season comes a few changes to my business structure. I posted briefly about it on my facebook page a few days ago, but I want to clarify what's up here on my official site. Since I started painting nearly a decade ago, I've always been adamant that I would absolutely not sell reproduction prints of my artwork. At the time this seemed like a great way to go. However, my business has grown exponentially, which is a terrific thing to be able to say. Due to that fact a change had to come. As of today, I'm officially selling original signed prints of select pieces of my artwork. This is absolutely in an effort to allow more people to be able to own and enjoy my paintings at a very affordable price. It's as simple as that. Currently, there are only two paintings available, but I'm hoping to have more soon.
We do have my first annual Rob Reep Studio Christmas ornament available for pre-order. Go ahead and reserve yours now by clicking here.
The staff here at the Studio is still working to get the remainder of the website fully functional, so look for new features each week. Thanks for stopping by, and of course, thanks for supporting my passion in life.
